My name is Martine and my goal in life is to promote classical music in easy to grasp forms, supported by modern technology. This website is an interactive part of Encore!Magazine - all about my passion for early dance.
I started dancing ballet - classical, show ánd modern - and did a few courses in ballroom (with an ex who really could not lead...), but it was not before I discovered Early Dance that I decided I want to become a dancer. Now, I am happy to be in the class of Dorothée Wortelboer and hope to be able to enter her group Fiori di Folia, one day.
In the meantime, I just enjoy dancing in class, at home and on stage. I danced with the National Opera, at the Peace of Utrecht (before our prince & princess) and in various little performances, including my own choreographies.
Beside dancing myself, I love to write & read about dance in Encore!Magazine. And sometimes, I also compose dance music, like this Court Dance. Anything more you'd like to know? Just leave a message in my Guestbook and I will reply a.s.a.p.

Ik heet Martine en mijn doel in het leven is het promoten van de klassieke muziek, op een laagdrempelige manier, met behulp van moderne technieken. Deze website is een klein onderdeeltje van Encore!Magazine en gaat helemaal over mijn passie voor dansen.
Dansen begon bij mij met ballet - klassiek, show- én modern - en stijldansen (met een
ex-vriendje dat echt niet kon leiden...) en het was pas toen ik de historische dans
ontdekte dat ik besloot danseres te willen worden. Nu ben ik heel blij dat ik op les zit bij Dorothée Wortelboer
en stiekem hoop ik op een dag goed genoeg te zijn voor haar dansgroep Fiori di Folia.
In de tussentijd geniet ik gewoon van het dansen, op les, thuis en op het podium. 'k Danste bij de Nationale Reisopera, tijdens de Vrede van Utrecht (voor Willem-Alexander en Máxima) en tijdens diverse kleine optredens, waaronder mijn eigen choreografie.
Naast het dansen zelf vind ik het heerlijk om over dans te lezen en te schrijven, vooral in Encore!Magazine. En soms componeer ik ook dansmuziek, zoals deze Hofdans. Meer weten? Laat een berichtje achter op het dansforum of in m'n Gastenboek en ik schrijf je terug zodra ik kan.
